Dr. Patton Smith, MD

EDUCATION

• Undergraduate: Mercer University BS in Chemistry
• Medical School: Medical College of Georgia
• Postgraduate: Macon Hospital

EXPERIENCE

Originally from Macon, Georgia, Dr. Smith attended Lanier High School for Boys and went on to study Chemistry as an undergraduate, and medicine at Medical College of Georgia.  He spent two years as a General Medical Officer with the U.S. Army.  Dr. Smith has taught and served as a faculty member at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, Clinical Associate Professor at Mercer School of Medicine, and is a staff physician at Monroe County Hospital, as well as a Medical Examiner for Monroe County Jail and Sheriff’s Department.  He has also been in private practice in Forsyth, Georgia for 40 years. Dr. Smith and his colleagues joined The Doctor's Office, LLC in 2005.
