EXPERIENCE
Originally from Marietta, GA, Mrs. Odell had been
a member of the WellStar Health Care Team since February 1975. She
has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in collaboration with
several physicians in the Metro Atlanta area to provide comprehensive
health care to children (including newborns) and adults while managing
simple and complex disorders. She has also served as a clinical
preceptor for Family Nurse Practitioner students attending Emory
University, Vanderbilt, Kennesaw State University and Georgia State
University.
Past experience as an RN includes Charge Nurse for
a Children's Emergency Room, Coordinator of Clinical Staff Education,
Instructor for CPR (BLS) and computer education as well as various
staff nurse positions. Leadership positions include representing
the hospital on the Board (Cobb County) Board of the American Heart
Association, Cobb Safe Kids, Ethics Committee, Chairman of Perinatal
Loss, professional system publication, and many other diverse committees.

PERSONAL INTERESTS
A published author, Mrs. Odell enjoys photojournalism,
reading, gardening, scrapbooking and family activities. Mrs. Odell
and her husband have 5 children and 3 grandchildren, and have recently
moved to Peachtree City from Marietta, Georgia. She has been active
in her local church and participates annually with a medical mission
team that ministers to the Miskito Indians in the remote Nicaraguan
rain forest. |
